Photographs from my travels in Bora Bora
The French Polynesian Islands were life changing for me. No other place has yet come close to comparing to how visually stunning this little piece of heaven on earth is.
After spending a morning on a pushbike exploring the island of Bora Bora, I really started questioning the whole work to live/live to work dilemma. The locals are so very welcoming and after witnessing a group of local kids walk past with a feathered chicken tucked under one arm, (I’m assuming it was dinner), I started questioning our lives and the way we live.
Would life be more enjoyable if we sold everything we owned and came to a place like this to live a simple life? Why do we have to wait for retirement to live this kind of life? If we lived this kind of life, would the desire to earn money and own material possessions disappear? How could anyone not be happy here?
Words can’t describe how beautiful Bora Bora really is. I can’t wait to come back to French Polynesia and check out some of the less visited islands to compare!
