China is one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited.  It is both culturally, historically and visually interesting.  When you combine this with the breathtaking scenery and yummy food, you have yourself a truly memorable holiday destination.

I visited China before having children so unfortunately, I have not included any tips for travelling with kids.  I would absolutely LOVE to take the kids here though, and would definitely feel comfortable bringing them to China.

The people of China were for the most part, very friendly.  Young people in particular went out of their way to chat with us in English.  The majority of people you pass will give you a nod, a smile, and a ‘Ni Hao’.

A lot of people took photographs of us, and from what I have read, this is not unusual.  I’m not really sure why!
